Cole Learn

I take A LOT of pride in what I do. There is often times when I finish coaching a class and think to myself 'I could have been better here'.

Every person is different, and different people require different techniques. Becoming a great coach requires you to be able to tap into each individual and quickly make a decision on where to go.

I love coaching because there is always ways to improve. I will never get to a point where I will say to myself 'I have learned all that I need.' I am constantly trying to seek out new cues and techniques to help athletes become the best version of themselves.

Krista Norrish

My love for fitness initially started from experiencing back pain working a desk job and having scoliosis. I went to the gym to strengthen my body and I was no longer in pain. Fitness is such an important part of my lifestyle mentally and physically. I love being around a community of people that truly just wants the best for each other.

I received my CrossFit Level 1 in 2020. I look forward to helping you achieve your fitness goals!

Melanie Rodger

I am a caring and compassionate trainer who leads by example and practices what I preach. I will assist you with goal setting, challenges, nutritional counselling and will guide you throughout your wellness journey. From beginners to veteran gym goers, I will motivate and encourage you while providing safe and effective workouts. I have a strong passion for what I do. I will be 100% committed to you during our workouts and be available to support you outside of our scheduled training times. My clients become part of my fitness family and I love watching them grow into their best and healthiest self. I am a mother of 2 and appreciate the challenges women face with weight management and body image. I am a functional trainer and will make your body move and work with good form and positive results. MISSION: To guide people in their wellness journey and become a catalyst for positive changes in their lives.

I was introduced to CrossFit in 2009, and it has shaped my training and fitness philosophy ever since. I'm passionate about helping people improve their lives and thrilled to be a part of the LearnFit team! Investing time and effort into your physical and mental health and fitness now is the best guard against the effects of aging. Neither your age nor your current level of fitness matter; the only thing that matters is you do something better today than you did yesterday. I look forward to working with each and every one of you athletes!

Carole-ann Klar

I have always enjoyed fitness in various forms throughout my life. I am a determined and motivated Certified Personal Trainer with a passion for helping people achieve their goals. I have 27 years of international experience as a Registered Nurse serving ten of those in the Royal Navy.

Pushing my own fitness goals, I recently challenged myself to compete in a Canadian Physique Alliance Figure competition, achieving first place in two classes. Through doing this, I gained experience in body-building competition preparation, including nutrition, training, and the importance of a supportive fitness training team.

My training mission is to work with clients holistically, listen to their goals, and make their fitness journey enjoyable and attainable.

Leigh Roberts

I have been working towards personal fitness goals for the last seven years, but my fitness journey really started when I was a kid. I played basketball as my primary fitness activity from the time I was a pre-teen, through to varsity level competition in university. But following the end of my high-level basketball years, I became sedentary and complacent and through my late 20's and into my 30's, and my fitness level gradually deteriorated. I found that my health and my self-esteem were both suffering as I came into my late 30's, and decided that I needed to re-focus on getting fit and healthy. I started participating in group fitness classes and soon I found that I was again finding joy in exercising. I was a die-hard participant before long, and soon I was approached about earning a certification so that I could also train and teach. I've been teaching classes and personal training since 2015, and I am excited to be joining the team at LearnFit to continue sharing my love of fitness with the great staff and clients there. I believe that fitness and strength are for everyone, and I hope that you'll join me for a workout as a part of your journey!

emma Martin

With over 20 years of dance experience, Emma has trained with the National Ballet of Canada, Profile Dance Company and Competitive Team at PSB Dance Academy, Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts and the Toronto Argonauts Cheerleaders. She has experience in various dance styles consisting of, ballet, modern, acro, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre and National Folk dance. Over the years, Emma has performed alongside various well-known music artists in the industry such as, One Republic, Imagine Dragons, Alessia Cara, Dallas Smith and Brett Kissel.

Since then, she has continued to promote positive health and fitness by staying active, attending yoga practice regularly and of course loves working out with her LearnFit family. When she's not planning a wedding or fundraising event, you can find her pumping up her heart rate on the dance floor. Emma looks forward to helping new and existing LearnFit community members improve their cardiovascular fitness and ensure their bodies are functioning optimally through mobility stretching, when teaching Cardio Dance Party and Stretch & Strength classes at LearnFit.

Tanya ryan

Coach Certified Personal Trainer

Fitness training has always been a large part of my life...from competing as a AAA Fastball pitcher and training my son's National Championship Fastball team, to obtaining my Personal Trainer Certification in 2014 through the Sports Performance Institute. I have been active in a variety of fitness training programs over the years and enjoy overcoming the personal challenges that I have set for myself. My biggest motivations are the building of friendships and the satisfaction of helping my clients achieve their fitness goals. I am pleased to be one of the Coaches on the LearnFit team and look forward to meeting with our members.

Susan DRUmmond

Hi y’all, my name is Susan Drummond. I am a mom of 2 active boys, a Regulated Pharmacy Technician at the Kincardine Hospital, and one of your coaches a LearnFit Strength and Conditioning. I am a very active person and anything fitness has always been interesting to me. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to play on many different sports teams and was an avid long distance track runner. Any form of athletic activity has always been my favorite pastime outside the gym.

I heard about strength and conditioning classes from a friend a couple years ago. It sounded intriguing to me. I had to try it out. Best decision I ever made. The coaches. The community. The fitness. Everything about these group classes was perfect. It took one class and I knew, this was what I would be passionate about. When asked if I would be interested in coaching, the answer was a quick yes. I successfully completed the CrossFit Level 1 course and now my focus is to assist each individual at their own level, to push through barriers and reach their fitness goals. I strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters positive energy and success for everyone. I’m honored and grateful to be part of the LearnFit team and such a great fitness community.

Kevin Aleinik

Grew up in Cornwall, Ontario on a fruit and vegetable farm. Played football, basketball and volleyball growing up and eventually attended McMaster University studying Kinesiology and playing Football with the program for five years, OUA second team all star and McMaster Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2015. Thorough knowledge of sport specific programming and olympic lifting through playing football and studying kinesiology. Now practice as a Registered Kinesiologist with experience in injury specific exercise programs, stretching regimens and hands on treatment and practice Fascial Stretch Therapy. Volunteering as assistant coach of the SDSS Football Team and co-Head Coach of Special Olympics Basketball in Owen Sound. Also an active member of the Saugeen Shores Fire Department. In my spare time try to get out fishing as much as possible!

Jen Greig

For the love of fitness! My love of fitness started when I was young and included competing on a swim team in the winters and playing baseball in the summers; I have always enjoyed physical activity. My approach to fitness is to like what I am doing and that keeps me motivated. My rewards are good physical and mental health. With nearly eight years teaching experience, I will welcome you with a smile and safely instruct you though a challenging workout.

Laura Klingenberg

Ever since I could remember I’ve been highly involved in competitive sport, till I decided to focus solely on rugby. From there I moved out to Nova Scotia where I continued to play at Acadia and study Kinesiology. After graduation I went straight into Personal Training and a couple summers of coaching rugby, before leading me to CrossFit which, soon after, I fell in love and began coaching.

Throughout my experiences I’ve learned the importance good coaching, and movement integrity has on increasing performance, which is what I aim to provide. Working out is so much more then pushing weight and going fast, there’s a technical side which I love, and continuously look to improve whether in myself, or when I’m coaching.
